Default PSR-300 right for me?

Hi,
I want to get a digital scanner for aviation, airshows and police/fire and am looking at the 300. Here's my area...Franklin County, Ohio (OH) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference ...Will this do everything I need or do I need something more? Thanks for your help.

The 300 is not digital. You either need a 500 or a RS Pro-106

It will work really well for airshows. However, its not digital.

Will it? I have the PSR-500 and the VHF airband is terrible - overload and intermod galore.

I'm wondering if VHF air is improved in the PSR-300, since these radios likely come from the same design.

I think the PSR-300 is just an improved version of the PRO-97. My PRO-97 is awesome in the aircraft bands, including milair. I agree that the PSR-500 (which I also have) is somewhat lacking in that area.

I agree 100%!! My PRO-97 out performs my PSR-500 on both VHF & UHF air bands.
