Default PSR 600 help

I have temporarily lost acess to my win 500 as my computer is broken but I don't want that to stop me from enjoying my new toy. My question is how do I erase just one scanlist and all its contents with out affecting the rest of the programming? Say I want to just erase scan list 18 and leave all else as is?

Erase a Scan List? Even with software you would have to delete each conventional frequency or TG assigned to that list individually unless you have an entire TSYS assigned to individual Scan Lists. Why not just toggle the Scan List off? ...at least until you have your computer back for programming software control.

You can toggle Scan Lists off or on by using the key pad on the scanner. While the unit is in scan mode, simply press the number key that corresponds with the Scan List number. Scan Lists 1 - 10 are toggled by using numbers 1 - 0, and Scan Lists 11 - 20 are toggled by pressing the FUNC key and then a number 1 - 0 (i.e. FUNC + 8 = Scan List 18).

That's what I have, a trunked system dedicated to just one scanlist. I am trying to delete it as I entered it in wrong. Talk groups and all. I now have all the correct info and would like to start over.

Here are the instructions for deleting a TSYS without using the software (from page 66 of the manual):

Quote:
To delete a TSYS, use the FIND feature to search for the TSYS by name. Press PGM, then press the EDIT softkey, then press the FIND softkey, and use the Standard Text Entry Method to enter all or part of the TSYS name you wish to delete. Press the OK softkey to begin searching, and, if necessary, press the NEXT softkey to continue searching until the desired TSYS is located. Once the TSYS has been located, press the PGM key, then press FUNC CLR. The scanner will ask you to confirm the delete command before removing the object from the scanner's memory, then, provide a final warning that all TGRPs associated with the TSYS to be deleted will be lost if you proceed. Press the YES softkey at both warnings to delete the TSYS.
If it were me, I would simply toggle off the scan list and then when I got my computer back I would enter the new TSYS and upload it which would overwrite the TSYS that is in the scanner now.
