Default Rebanding a GRE300?

I've did a little reading...but its not really clear on how to "reband" a scanner.

I did just upgrade to the latest firmware (1.07?) this past weekend without issue...is this all that's needed? Will the firmware complete the rebanding, or does the scanner need set differently also???

I just received my GRE400 today...will need to do the same thing to it also (which, as far as I can tell is the same as the 300).

Thanks

re-banding needs to be accomplished thru software and the tables will be set for that particulsr motorola system.

So in the case of the GRE, the software will change the "tables" and I only need to enter new base frequencies?

You would follow the procedures as set forth in this wiki article (all links are in blue):

PSR-300/400 Software and USB Support - The RadioReference Wiki

Although it's interesting that the values you would need to enter for the tables aren't mentioned. Would they be the same as the tables for the PSR-500/600?

Thanks, that was the piece to the puzzle I was missing.

I was unaware the software needed to have the settings changed to "rebanded".

That answered my question.

Thanks!
