Default gre-500 and harris system

I've been thinking of buying the gre-500 but I wanted to find out what the local pd and county was going to be going to. They are going to be changeing to aa p25ip, here's the link that might help you more, Johnson County selects Harris to deploy P25IP interoperable radio system

Does anyone know if the gre-500 would be able to scan this and track the groups correct?

Duane

It should, as long as it's not encrypted.

Oh, it'll do everything regardless if encryption is used or not. The only difference will be understanding what is being said!

I wish the PSR-500 would skip encryption on P25 trunked systems like it does on Motorola trunked systems.

They will be on the Racom Towers so it should be fine as that is one of the scanners that I have. I just hope that the IC tower cranks up the power to the max to I can pick it up. Guessing that they might have a car near the CR south tower and might trip that so I can hear them on that one too. They also might have to put up some extra towers in the area (cross my fingers) since that will be a fat contract and should allow them the expand
