Default GRE scanner PSR-225 problems

Hello,
I'm new here - but came here after experiencing weird problems with my scanner. About two weeks ago I came home and my scanner was still on (display light on) but display was completely empty - and also it didn't scan anymore.
After a few "turn off/on's" the scanner worked again - and full memory was still working with all banks/frequencies...

Last week I turned my scanner on and display light on, but display emtpy. Few times off/on and it worked again. But since last weekend that doesn't work also anymore.

So now my scanner display light works, but display stays empty and so it doesnt scan.....
Anyone a clue what is wrong with the scanner?

TIA,
Richard

Try reloading the frequencies? for some reason they could have gotten wiped out or make sure you have the banks turned on that the frequencies are programmed in.

I don't know much about that particular model, however it's possible that there might be a loose connection inside the radio (loose board or connector). If you're comfortable opening the case you might look for something like that, otherwise you'll probably need to get it repaired or replaced.

It took al white before I could reply again, but some vacation had to be done ;-)

When I came back I just opened the scanner to check (all looks very good from inside); when I put the cover back I plugged in the powercord & it works again. Very weird - I didn't do anything but look.....

Think I go to an electronicstore when it happens again.

Thnx for thinking with me

Richard
