question about 500?

when you first enter the first trunksystem in it shoes 0000, then after you enter the first talkgroup it shows 0010 , is there any reason why this does not show it at 0001, instead of 0010. i am doing this by hand, when i enter conv in it starts at 0000 and goes in sequence like it spose to do, why does it work for conv and not the other way as well,just does not make sence to me . any thought on this as to how this can be corrected, thanks in advance for any help

Only speaking for myself, that's why I use software to program my scanner, I happen to use win500. It gives you options to sort things like TG's, scan list, frequency lists and all the objects in your scanner and re-numbering all your objects puts them in order from 0 to whatever. Win500 has a 30 day free trial, try it your might find it easier to keep your scanner up to date and in order.

The PSR-500 uses blocks of memory to store it's data. Depending on the object type, multiple blocks may be used. For a Motorola or P-25 system, the TSYS object uses 10 memory blocks, so once you've created the TSYS, the next available object block is number 10, thus why it's 0010.
