Default Power Supply
I have lost (or inadvertently thrown out) my power supply to my 500. I went to RS tonight (maybe my first mistake) to get one. They do not have a 9VDC 500MA power supply. The two associates both looked on line for it and also could not find one.

Suggestioins on getting one?

Any 9v adapter that is 500mA or more will be fine.
RadioShack has at least two that will work.
This is the cheapest one.

Enercell® 9VDC/ 800mA AC Adapter - RadioShack.com

Take the scanner in with you to make sure you get the correct tip.

GRE "a friend"? I thought they were a "business that sold electronics (scanners, ect)"!
