I guess it wasn't us old farts that like to press buttons that did it in.
Not that I'm gloating. I do hope GRE manages to get back into production here in the States and gets the 900 out there. Sad to see this happen.

R.I.P. GRE....you put out some good scanners over the years. Looks like everybody's next new scanner will be a Uniden now.

I really hope GRE America can keep operating in some capacity as their scanners are a cut above what Uniden makes.

GRE PSR-900 Demo Units
Well If I would have known this I would have distracted the reps at the shows I took one! LOL. I wonder who will get them if they don't start back up. GRE or insiders "PLEASE" give us some type of hint.

It's likely not going to. Read back through this thread.

Have you honestly not been reading any of the above posts????
GRE as a scanner company is (at least for now), out of business. They will remain at their California location to honor warranties on existing units and to liquidate existing inventory, but there has been no new manufacturing as of October 1, 2012.
And while it is true that the folks at GRE "America" are trying to regroup and maybe find a new source to manufacture the actual product, there is no guarantee that that will happen any time soon.
I would think that getting the company back on solid ground is more important to them right now than anything else, and as such, I wouldn't look for the PSR-900 (which was a product of GRE Japan) to be developed any further.
GRE America is also the U.S. distributor of Alinco products, so they will always maintain a presence to handle the product line, but the scanners are gone for now.

Sorry to interrupt but there was a post made by a MOD on here concerning any new speculation about GRE and that any info has to be published that was certified as being true.
As far as I know, GRE is NOT out of business because if they were, they wouldn't be honoring warranties or repairs AND, they are not liquidating anything.
get the picture?

The dates on these posts are well within the time period of confusion where no one knew what was happening with GRE. There's no need to be snappy about posts made months ago when GRE's future was uncertain.

I was informed today by GRE America, the PSR-900 will be released in 2013. Possibly in the second quarter.
