From what I've read, the PSR 800 is the only one capable of this function, not the PSR 500/600. I happen to own a PSR 500. You can follow the posts regarding the Houston, Texas emerging Phase II system if you like. I wish it were possible, but I believe those with the money are ahead of the game, as usual.

Given the current situation of GRE and the unknown if they will reappear, should I update to the beta 1.7 firmware before it's too late and gonzo forever?

I don't currently have any X2 stations to monitor, just hate to miss the ability to upgrade?

You forgot to add that the BETA update adds Phase 2 P25 and *BREAKS* X2-TDMA.

Just noticed a second Beta version of the upgrade on the GRE America Website just added today. "GRE PSR-800 P25 Phase 2 Public Beta Upgrade 2" GRE PSR-800 P25 Phase 2 Public Beta Upgrade 2 - Powered By Kayako SupportSuite Maybe this fixes the X2 issues?

I don't know who they are (have a guess about one guy) but thanks! I'll upgrade tonight and report any issues or fixes with X2 tomorrow.

Was going to update a couple of days ago, but got sidetracked. Now with upgrade #2 being released, do I need to update with the first release first, or does this new second release include everything the first one did?

Thanks.

So, here's a thought ... what tools are required to create CPU and DSP loads for the 800? I sure would be interested in the ability to create these.

You'd have to also have the source for each, which would be the most difficult to get.

Same here using the beta 2 monitoring Loudoun Co. VA. Everything sounds great. None of the issue that were experienced with the first beta release.

And detection of encrypted TG's appears to work on P2 now, will try it on X2 later today.

I gather you mean that "detection" means that the radio does not decode encryption (not that it ever did)? Can you elaborate?
