Default PSR-310 / Win500 Programming Question

I've been using Win500 with my PSR-500 for a few years now so I'm somewhat familiar with using this combo. A friend just got a PSR-310 yesterday so I assumed it would be a simple matter of connecting it to my PC and dumping my p500 file into it. Nope. All I see is "Nothing Enabled!" after the upload.

Any idea what the problem is? Do I need to reformat my p500 file in some way? I know the PSR-310 is communicating with my PC because I just updated the firmware from 1.0 to 1.5.

Thanks.

I don't think You can clone the 500 to the 310, and I don't think you would want to because the 310 is not a digital scanner.
I may be wrong.

The PSR-310 is an analog only scanner but almost everything that I have programmed into my PSR-500 is analog so I assumed I could just dump the same programming into my friend's 310 and be done with it. That's what I get for assuming.

I read the "Nothing Enabled" thing over at UtahScan a few times and if I am understanding correctly, I do have objects assigned to a Scan List. Under the General Settings tab, Default Scan List is showing 1 and Scan List 01 is enabled. When I look at the CONV Objects tab, they all have Scan Lists assigned under the Scan List Map tab and the same goes for all of the trunked system objects under the TSYS Objects tab.

Oh well... maybe I need to start from the beginning with this thing.

Just a thought- Make sure that in Win500 you use the menu selection for "Upload to PSR-310/410" instead of the standard "Upload to Scanner" that you use for your PSR-500.

Ah ha!!! That was the problem right there! I hadn't noticed the Upload to PSR-310/410 option on the menu until you mentioned it. THANK YOU! It's scanning away right now as I type this.

Thank you all for your responses.

Glad to hear it was that simple.
