Default PSR-800 Annoyance--setting the date & time

When I take out the batteries to charge them, the PSR-800 forgets the date and time.
When I turn it back on, it nags me to reset the date and time.
How can I avoid this?
I understand that it puts a timestamp on recordings, but I don't use that feature.

when i swap my batteries i do them one at a time and i dont get that error. if i take all 4 out at once i need to reset clock. i run it dead and let it stand for days sometimes before i swap out the batts and going one at a time still works fine. if you only have one set of batts then plug it into a usb power source when you remove the batts and it should keep the time.

My 800 hasn't asked me to set the clock since I first powered it up. But I have more than one set of batteries so the scanner is without batteries for 2 minutes at most. I run mine on external power most of the time and with it powered by a USB source, you don't need the batteries.

The scanner has logging functions that really need the clock to be set. You can set it to your computer's time using the USB programing cable and EZScan.

Mine never asks me to set time either, but I don't pull the batteries either.

Default PSR-800 Annoyance--setting the date & time

I have to reset the clock once in a while but most of the time I have the new set sitting right next to the scanner, so I pop out the dead ones and put the new ones in the second I have the dead ones out and that seems to resolve the issue of having to reset the clock. I have three sets I keep charged so I always have a set ready to go.

Mike

Default Time setting

The clock will keep the current time if once the batteries go dead you slip in another set. If you only have one set of rechargeable batteries purchase another set or slip on a set of alkalines you have some time to pull out all batteries and replace them just not a lot of time.
