Default PSR-800 RID Alert

New to scanning in the trunking age!
Looking thru the GRECOM software is appears as though, you can set a specify alert for a Radio ID.

Can someone walk me through this process?

I haven't been able to find n specific page or drill down menu on the PC software to select a specific RID. I have attempted to capture the RID during a transmission by selecting "menu" and setting an alert, but the transmissions are so fast that setting the alert appears to be setting the alert for the talkgroup rather than a specific RID.

Note: I am aware that in some agencies and on several systems the RID changes frequently, however our personnel seem to have the same ID as they transmit almost exclusively on their portables and unless taken in for maintenance, seem to stay the same.

I don't use the ALERT function on my 800 but I think this procedure will work.

Open EZScan > Select the TRUNKED RADIO SYSTEM tab at the bottom > Highlight the proper system > Click on the RADIO ID DETAILS tab > Click on NEW and enter the Radio ID information. Click on the alert box to turn it on.

That should work.

I don't seem to have a "Trunked Radio System" Tab at the bottom of EZScan.

My options are "General Settings", "Scanlists", "Weather", "Library Import" and "Audio"

Is there a way to do it from the 800 itself?

I am running PC 1.08 Build 286 and CPU Firmware 1.8

I found it! It is actually under the Advanced drop down menu at the top of the screen, here you can enable the "TRUNKED RADIO SYSTEM" tab, it then appears at the bottom of the screen. And your directions were spot on!
