Software Manager 1.08
I see a new version has been posted today. My new PSR-800 arrived today, should I just download this new version and start fresh from there? Or do I need to install from the CD first and then upgrade?

Grab the latest from greamerica.com - and once installed, check/run the updates for everything.

Hi Tom,
When mine arrived 3 weeks ago I downloaded and installed what was then the most recent version rather than installing from the outdated CD. As a side note, after you install it and check for updates you will most likely find that there's also a newer firmware version for your PSR-800. Enjoy! Brian

On the GRE support webpage they announce a update released today, 1/23/2013. This is what I'm referring to. Is the same as 1/ 15 ?

Yes, one and the same. Not sure why they didn't post that sooner.
If you checked for EZ Scan Software update last week, it would've downloaded 1.08.
