Default No Response from GRE???

I submitted a trouble ticket last week but have yet to receive a response. I need to send my scanner in for repairs. I've done this twice before and GRE has always responded right away. I tried calling today and I was automatically placed into a generic voicemail box.

Is GRE no longer offering service on their products? Anyone have any information on this?

No one but GRE can offer a conclusive answer to your question but I trust you are aware of their October 23 press release, found in the News tab on their site. While that release does not answer your specific question, if their service is less prompt than you would expect then it may offer some insight---or at least some speculation. Brian

GRE can't even update their status, so why should we pay heed to that PR???? Wayne was fired from what i hear

I'm confused, lol. Wouldn't both remarks be further indicators that we should take notice of that press release? tgbrengel appears understandably frustrated, so I assumed that release would be of interest.

I posted a few days ago that I had an open ticket with GRE for over a week now, with no response..... which, based on my past experience with GRE, has been TOTALLY OUT OF CHARACTER for them i n the past...

I'm afraid that something may have changed since a week, or two, ago....

ALL SPECULATION ON MY PART.... just examining the facts I have experienced directly.....

I hope I am wrong...

Now, that being said, their on-line store went down some days, or a week ago, and mysteriously came "back on line" a day or so ago....

Totally corn-fusing.

Does anyone know of a shop to send in a PSR500 for service...if GRE dosn't offer service anymore?

I do see where they uploaded a file on their web site on January 23rd. I hate to see them take a hit to production. The scanner world needs them.

I'm nervous. I just bought a couple of GRE's a few mos. ago.
Let's hope they get their act together soon.

I just talked to RAJ on this he says to

We are asking customers to call us directly 650-591-1400 or email to scanner-sales@greamerica.com

I've tried calling this number and it rings and goes into their voicemail. I'll try email that address next. Thanks!

Are there other companies that will service PSR500 scanners? Thanks.

I can confirm that GRE customer service is alive and well. Earlier i posted a thread here basically asking how many years GRE guarantees updates for the psr800 scanner. after not getting any answers, i decided to email them directly. When i got off work today (3 pm central time) i came home, went to their website, went to the "contacts" link near the upper right of their page, went to the "scanner reciever sales" contact form, and filled it out with my question. I jumped in the shower immediately after submitting that, and my hair wasnt even wet yet, when my phone rang. My girlfriend answered, and it was GRE calling me personally to answer my question. Needless to say i had to call them back 10 minutes later, but the fact that they reacted in less then 3 minutes, imho, is extraordinary! especially considering the fact that they didnt even know i was a customer or potential customer; just some random guy with a question...

Got a response from GRE today via email. They said they will do repairs and provided a RA number and told me to send it in...
