Default Question for PSR500 & 800 Owners

Will the belt clip from the 500 fit the slot on the back of the 800? If yes, is it secure enough to support the scanner's weight?

Thanks.

Default Belt clip

I do not know about the belt clips being interchangeable, but for an expensive radio, I would spend the money for a protective leather or other service duty case. Not only are the clips usually much better, the case offers some protection even if the radio is dropped.

Yes they will fit as I use an extra 500 clip on my 800 with no problems. I thought the 800 clip was too bulky. Just make sure you push the 500 clip all the way until it clicks.

I don't like the bulk either. That is why I wanted to know.

Thanks.
