This (copy and paste) is true, however, there is an option to import from clipboard in EZ Scan. I've used it several times, however, you have to make sure the columns are set up right. When you copy/import from either text or clipboard especially on trunked systems you have to make sure the columns are labeled correctly in the screen you get from the text file.
To properly import from text file, you have to have a saved text file for EZ Scan to import from. You cannot simply copy and paste from the text file into EZ Scan software, it will not work. Tried it several times before I caught on. Click on Text file button on right side, find the file you saved, then click open. The data in the text file will open up in a new window and at the top are your column headings. Make sure each column is labelled correctly (Alpha Tag, TG, etc.) for trunked systems.
For conventional frequencies, you also have to make sure the columns are correct before you import it or the data will not import properly.
