Even if RS had implied they were going back to the way they were in the 1980's I seriously doubt they would've done it anyway because back then they carried far more ham radio related items and scanners/transceivers. That aspect of RS was history years ago. On a side note, Ponch's badge is completely different in the video from the show. CHP uses a 7-point star but that thing he's wearing looks like an el-cheapo security guard badge, which it probably is, as do the shoulder patches. I guess Tandy spent their budget just getting the actors to appear so they had to skimp on wardrobe...

I'm just glad RS isn't the only place we can buy Whistlers upcoming scanner products. I really look forward to seeing what they will be offering

It's almost the end of June 2014, ( June 24 actually ), so where are the scanners?

The PRO-651 and PRO-652 scanners (RS branded Whistler) are now available online, so hopefully the Whistler branded scanners are not far behind.
