PSR-800: USB/Windows 10

Just a quick shout-out to EDMSCAN and getting this 800 to "re-connect" with your computer...

I hadn't had the need or time to update my 800 via usb until today so I did a search and located his post. I tried the youtube video instructions first to no avail. I'm not sure if I missed something as the guy rushed through the last part of it or not but I looked further and followed EDM's instructions- worked instantly. I don't know why somebody would begin precisely and thoroughly and then blast through the most important parts at the end. Maybe this video was for people who already know most of the "workaround" business etc...? Anyway...

I am an IT guy so for me it is simple stuff .. I have more problem putting my thoughts into words that make sense. Just happy that someone is happily listening to their scanner.

No .. as far as the scanner is concerned they are the same.

If you're plugged into a USB hub, try plugging into a USB port on the computer instead—worked for me.
