PSR500/PSR600: PSR500 Internal Adjustments?

I'm having some decoding issues on a VHF P25 system that I monitor that seem very similar to issues I was experiencing with my RS Pro-96. I was able to remedy these issues a while ago by following the instructions that are in the wiki for adjusting VR4 in the 96. This was done after I changed some things in my programming that didn't seem to help and I've tried the same thing with my 500.

I noticed inside the PSR500 that there's a similar set of pots, including one marked VR4, that are in a cluster similar to the ones in the Pro-96. Do these perform the same functions as the ones inside the Pro-96?

Here is a copy of the tuning steps for the RadioShack model of the PSR500.
It should be the same as the PSR500.
