Good ol' LAPD Tac 1 - 154.83 ?

Does anyone pick up any hotshots on it anymore? I don't know if it's just my distance (OC) or if it's been retired. When I'm in LA, I'm monitoring the P25's, so I don't scan 154.83 to check. But I thought I'd load it into my 2m HT if there's still something to listen to.

I haven't checked recently, but I don't believe that has been on for sometime now. The only analog stuff I know of is maybe a few simulcasts through CHP channels that get switched on once in a while.

154.83 has not been active for quite a while now. For Hotshots monitor LAPD 484.3500 simulcast w/484.40 & 484.7125

So there's none that are non-P25...

Maybe it's just a simple weekend project to modify my Yaesu FT60-R to decode P25.

Oh, and I'll program it to generate winning lottery numbers while I'm at it.

I know, but the only fortune cookie I have that can decode P25 eats batteries too fast when it's decoding encrypted police freqs down here in OC.
