I'm using the Southern California Frequency Directory, 3rd Edition book on page 144 to try to program LA City municipal services.
From what I've read, it's a standard EDACS system using two networks. I'm currently using a Uniden Bearcat 396T scanner. I have a few questions regarding what info to input into my scanner.
I see two network systems listed: 2 and 3, do I need to enter both? If they work together, how do I program them to link together? Do all tags or channels run off both system 2 or 3?
I'm most interested in having General Services Police programmed and don't really care about the other channels. (TG: 04-121)
Last question is: for LCNs do I need to input the Zero before the LCN? Example: LCN01 as 1 or 01?
