Hello California. I'm trying to help somebody with Culvert City and Beverly Hills. Do you have to program in the Custom Table or can you just put in the control channels and talkgroups? Also what are the lo and hi channels for the ICIS system for the custom table listed?

He has Pro 106 like I do.

You have to put in a custom trunking table. The table is listed on this page:

Do you have to put in the lo and hi channels and what are they? Doyou set to MOT: VHF/UHF or to MOT:800/900 for the ICIS BeverlyHills which I think they are still building and for Culvert City who are upgrading?

I just need to find the lo and hi channels and wither or not it is MOT:VHF/UHF or MOT:800/900

It's MOT VHF/UHF, Type II Smartzone, 3600 bps control channel (Not P25, which is 9600 bps).

CH low usually starts at the offset, and goes to one before the next offset. CH high for the last part is 759, if I remember correctly.

When dealing with voice frequency and channel number, base freq, offset and step size, any unknown value can be found if you know the others. The formula is:

Voice Frequency = (Voice LCN - Offset) * Step Size (in MHz) + Base Frequency

Watch out with ICIS because as I recall different sites use different band plans and may have to be programmed independently of one another depending on the scanner.

If you're using Win500 to program the scanner you could try this:
  • Select the following text and type Ctrl+C to copy it:
380,457,380,470.0125,12.5
458,462,380,469.05,12.5
463,463,380,470.0125,12.5
464,464,380,469.05,12.5
465,502,380,470.0125,12.5
503,586,380,480.5,12.5
587,589,380,479.5375,12.5
590,592,581,482.05,12.5
593,605,380,479.5375,12.5
606,608,581,482.05,12.5
609,674,380,479.5375,12.5
675,759,380,480.5,12.5
  • Save your current .p500 file.
  • Go to the "TSYS Objects" tab, select your ICIS object, and click the "Trunking Tables" button.
  • In the trunking tables window select the upper left cell (Lo Chan, 00) and type Ctrl+V.
  • Save these changes to a new .p500 with a different filename so that if you don't like the changes, the previous file can restore your settings to what they were before.
A little messy, but no need to duplicate talkgroup objects. I haven't tried it myself, but it should allow you to trunk any ICIS cell using this one TSYS object. Of course, you still would need to enter all the control channels for every cell under the "System Frequencies" button. And it would probably work best with MultiSite mode turned on.
