Look in the California database for the county where this beach resides. The link for the database is in a blue toolbar upper left right below the site title 73 (best regards) Mike

Hermosa Beach PD is normally dispatched jointly with Manhattan Beach on 470.6375.
The 470.1875 is often utilized for Hermosa dispatch during peak periods such as weekends, otherwise its a tac frequency.

Thanks LAflyer.

The OP has said in the past that they couldn't pick up anything on their own Pro-404, which is bothersome because calls can be heard using an on-line site.

Remember that the SBRCC channels went from PL to DPL recently. You need to update your receivers/radios.

SBRCC update to DPL

Has anyone checked to see if the SBRCC agencies also went narrowband (12.5 KHz channel spacings) in addition to changing to DPL? What about Redondo Beach? Are they still wideband (25 KHz) channel spacing? I wish they would go DPL.

Yes South Bay went narrow. Not sure about Redondo, but they are still PL as of this week when I was passing through town.

update?

Has anyone put a service monitor on Redondo Beach to see if they went narrowband yet? Also does Southbay 1 (470.6375) almost hallow sounding similar to a P25 system? Definitely different!

:)

Yes the 3 Redondo PD freqeuncies were narrow banded.

The PLs remained the same on two, but on 460.6 PL changed to 192.8.

I am seeing HBPD on their weekend channel (470.1875 MHz) much more often lately. Any reason for the change in use from the normal weekend night operation? Is this in preparation for INSB?
