Default CHP Coastal Division - Purple 2 Ventura Active

Yesterday and today I picked regular traffic on Purple 2 for Ventura 31 & Moorpark 54. I did not hear the mobile transmissions repeated as the old frequency was set up. I was getting the signal strongly in south LA.

I wanted to ask if anyone else has picked up any other new changes in Coastal Division or if someone else can confirm the change and I'll submit the change to the DB.

Thanks,

Greg

Right now, Ventura is broadcasting on both the Purple and Purple-2. Sounds like the changeover is near.

Sunday they were still on the old channel, at least in the morning.

Today as well. Normal traffic on the old channel with mobile repeated. Simulcast with dispatch side only on Purple 2. I haven't seen both channels operating at the same time during previous cut-overs.

Not only are both channels not fully simulcast, but when the dispatcher is working both Santa Barbara and Ventura units I hear traffic only on the Purple-2.

Perhaps a listener closer to Santa Barbara can hear if the new Green-2 or Coastal Lime are being used by Santa Barbara.

Green-2:
44.88, PL 151.4

Coastal Lime:
45.28, PL 151.4

Also, try listening without the PL as it may have been changed for some technical reason.

Other proposed Coastal Channels:

Blue-2: (Possibly)
44.92, PL 151.4
Black:
44.74, PL 151.4
White-2:
44.8, Pl 151.4
Blue-2: (Possibly)
44.66, Pl 151.4

Ditto, I was in Ventura for the day yesterday and did some scanning on the new frequencies. Only heard the old Purple still in use with the mobile repeated.
