New lapd channels coming!

Hello Everyone,

L.AP.D. will be adding some more channels most of them to be tactical. All channels will change, this will be taking place sometime in JUNE so get ready to re-program your scanners. Will post more information as we get it!

Well they do have a bunch of unused frequencies -

484.425
484.450
484.725
484.750
484.775
506.450
507.000
507.025
507.100
507.250

Plus LA City Council report suggested LAPD (along with LAFD) could make use of the upgraded municipal Services P25 TRS system. (with merger of LAPD and General Services Office of Public Safety, they still are using about 10- TGs on the TRS)

I've recently heard radio techs testing on following.

484.775 - ID as Ch.201
506.850 - ID as Ch.202
507.100 - ID as Ch.203
507.250 - ID as Ch.204

NAC 466 on all.

If anyone has the planned usage, kindly forward along so we can update the Db.

LA Flyer... Those are not channels 201-204 ...not sure where you heard that from...

Oh about 3-4 folks doing 10-counts over a few hours, and telling each other to switch back and forth using 201-204 as the frequency ID.
Also later on a separate discussion and testing about how 204 was having issues up on the Baldwin Hills repeater.

And this has all been in the last few weeks.

Anyhow, either way these frequencies were previously in the pool of unused pairs held by City of LA. They clearly now have been hooked and will be used for something.

I agree with u.. most updates are posted that way it seems.

As KMA371 mentions, if community members know otherwise, kindly share/submit the info. (you can do it anonymously even.)

We would be happy to update/correct the DB.

Ultimately our info is only as good as what we have to work with, and the supposed 201-204 testing was heard by more than one person, so that is our starting point for these 4 recent frequencies.

Our database is only as good as the community helps make it.

Whatever channel you want to call them, but there were key ups, and voice checks on 484.775 and 507.100 NAC466 this morning as well.

And today parties down by LAX were doing voice checks while moving around to various locations on 484.775, 506.850 and 507.100.

They referred to the frequencies as channels as 1,2 and 3.
