Just follow the instructions in the Manual. It is quite easy...

Note the "01" "02" etc. Use the tower closest to you.

No, the dash is a dash. Enter your talkgroups in AFS format.

I think East LA Cop is confused between talk groups and frequencies. If your in the ELA area I use the county wide site which is site 2. Enter those frequencies in order in a particular bank

01 866.08750* 02 866.58750 03 866.93750 04 867.22500 05 867.72500 06 866.25000 07 866.77500
08 867.77500 09 868.08750 10 868.77500 11 868.72500 12 866.30000 13 866.27500 14 866.80000
15 867.27500 16 867.80000 17 868.27500 18 868.80000 19 867.25000 20 868.25000

Programing the bank for EDACS. Once you do that then you can start scanning in trunked mode. You will see the Talk Groups displayed which are the numbers everyone else has posted above.

I find it depends on where in Redlands you are, it can be hit or miss although I'm sure having a good ant. would help alot. Or go north on the 30, north on the 330 find a turn out near Running Springs facing the valley below and your in So.Cal Scanning Heaven. With even a stock rubber duck you can pick up just about everything in San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles County!

What exactly is the point of having the Sheriff CTAC channels on the CWIRS system? i am listening to CTAC2 and the SCV sheriffs working the fire....and unitrunker shows it is just repeated traffic...and no Safety Police are on there.

Is it just a link for the county to use, or do Safety Police come on during incidents? I do see some other radios affiliated to the groups, but they arent talking, just monitoring.

LASD frequencies are repeated in the LA County Emergencies Operations Center talkgroups. This is so they can be monitored if the EOC is made operational.
As you probably know LASD has their own radio system and are not a part of the LA County Municipal System.
