Finally got all my 106's here at work, this site has helped alot with programming issues, I do all by hand actually just do one then clone the others. I have (3) 106's. On my first 106 I spent about 8 hrs just trying to figure it out, once done the 106 is the easiest to do it allows you have the same ch in all banks without having to program all freqs in the same bank.

1. SN 024477\12A09 pu date was 061410 on sale
2. SN 019598\12A09 pu date was 121410 on sale
3. SN 027971\04A10 pu date was 020211 on sale

Also have a 2006, 2055 and a 164, my wife says why do I need all these scanners, well I have a 106 at work and 2 others at home, in case I need to listen to other agency's at the same time, the 2055 is in the garage when I putter in there cleaning or working on things etc..

My 106 should be here at my local RS on Tuesday 4-26-11. I also recently bought a refurb 164 and aquired from work a 160. I got the refurb 164 online a few wks ago now it works good. I got the 106 and cable on RS online sale both total price $317.29. Wife is sorta mad but we are all going digi in my area within next yr( central NY Syracuse area) Probably the best deal I could get. Now to learn TRS and Digi programming

Hello all, new to group. Got my Pro~106, S/N 023386 for Christmas last year and I love it!! Got it on a holiday sale at RS where they knocked $150.00 bucks off it. Great scanner!!! Before that, I ran a Pro~164, S/N 029307. A very good and solid scanner, but I wasn't getting everything I wanting, so I upgraded. What I loved the most, was after 2 trips to RS to have them reprogram it, was clear out V-Folder # 20 and saved my system. This way if it every crashed for any reason, I can reload the scanner on the fly in about 10 seconds without hooking it up to a computer. I did go ahead and buy the RS USB/PC cable 20-047 to do my own programing now.

Hello everyone. I just recently receive my PRO-106 (s/n 038932). I LOVE it. Still learning how to use it. I do have ARC500 to help program it. I do have one question. What is latch LED? I've tried to research it online, but I'm still confused. Thanks for your time.

Hey Maddog. I'm assuming that is one of the options available to you in Arc500 for the LED indicator on the top of the radio. In addition to color, you have the option to "latch" the LED on until it is changed by the radio to a different color, i.e., you have Red set for fire department talk groups and Blue for police. When you receive a fire talkgroup the Red color will come on and stay on until you receive a police talkgroup communication (something that changes the color). If not latched, the red will go out after the end of the fire talkgroup communication. Hope that makes sense.

Is anyone using Win500 v 2.04? I don't see how to import national frequencies -- a new feature -- from RR to the 106? Thanks.

I just downloaded and installed the Win500 v2.04. I was wanting to download the "Amateur Radio" frequencies for my area and didn't see that option either!
