LPE Error Code

Have a refurbished LPE 200 that was purchased in November. All was working well, then the radio came up with Error 0856.

Large backlog at the County Communications center for repairs, and trying to track down what the error is to see if we can't have it repaired elsewhere.

DSP hardware failure. If it was recently reprogrammed it may have been programmed with the wrong DSP type code; C50 code (starts with a "k" ) in a C56 radio (starts with an "i" or "j") or vice versa. Simply reprogram it with the correct code.

Otherwise you may have a bad DSP board or the solder joints on the connectors are prone to cracking.
