Default Orion 800Mhz Edacs Features

I'm looking at selling my 800Mhz Edacs Orion remote head (full feature) and would like to figure out what features it has on it so I can advertise it correctly. I have the ability to program it and have the bin to review, if the features can be found there. Any help in finding the features would be great. Thanks

If you don't have the features menu item in your menu list, reprogram it to add it. And then you will be able to access the features list IF you have new enough firmware in the radio.

At that point, you hit menu, go to features, hit menu again, and then scroll through the list using one of the rocker switches.

You can not determine the features in the radio by looking at the personality in ProGrammer. Only the radio itself actually knows what features are in it.

First determain if it's a 256K or 512K version. Most Orions with a serial number over 153XXXX are 512K but hook up to, open radio maintenace, and select "radio information" if it's a 256, stop, you're done. If it's a 512K contiune.

Open programmer, read the Orion, find "options" "Programmable Menu" and add "features" to the list.
write the radio.

When prompted, you must have flash code version OG 46402 or higher to view feature strings, so if you don't then write the higher code.

Unhook programming, turn on radio, accsess programmable menu, find features, enter it and look for somthing like 01 02 03 09 12 14

That tells you what features you have included.

Thanks for your help. I will do this to the Orion when I get back into town and have it infront of me. I did try it on my LPE 200 that I also plan on selling and it did just like you said and displayed the features. Thanks again.

I re-flashed with the "features" in the MENU list on the Orion (remote head- system) and got what I was looking for. It showed me it was 512 with features 01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10. Thanks to every one who helped, now I can sell it properly. Again, thanks.
