Default Headphone adaptor for M-RK

Hi all,
is there such a thing as a UDC headphone adaptor dongle?
Is the audio level out of the UDC fixed, or does the volume control adjust this level? Thinking that I could adapt a speaker-microphone for the job...

the audio level on the UDC is controlled by the volume knob... most public safety mics have a 2.5mm plug on the bottom for an ear piece

OK so that opens the possibility for hacking a speaker-microphone directly into a headphone adaptor....thats if the UDC level is enough to drive a headphone and it can drive that sort of impedance (32 ohms or so). Thanks for that information... time to experiment...

well the public safety mic has a small audio amplifier IC in it (its an 8 pin dip) that puts out a few watts if i remember correctly, so if you hack a speaker mic, it should most definately be able to drive pretty much anything
