Communicating With An Orion

I am interested in hooking up an Orion with the Etrunker program. (I know this is a little bit of an antique compared to Unitrunker but it should be all the same)

I know that Etrunker can control a scanner for example but I want to be able to have it control an Orion instead.

Wondering if someone knows what input pin the data would have to be sent on and what would have to be sent for the Orion to change frequency ?

Not an easy task at all. The RS232 interface on the Orion isn't meant to 'live' control the units operating frequencies, quite unlike most scanners.
However, it may be possible... using the HDT test mode, it is possible to send simple commands to an Orion to set the receive frequency. I don't think its as simple as sending the one command to set the receive frequency either - I think several commands need to be sent, one to set the frequency, one to open the speaker, one to close the speaker at the end of the transmission. There's probably more that is needed that I can't think of at the moment.
Etrunk would need a bit of a rework to be able to 'talk' Orion HDT commands, and to also perform an action (ie close the speaker) at the end of each transmission.
