M/A COM 700p

Hi, everyone. I just acquired a M/A COM 700p scan model, and I see everyone talking about the feature list, and the features their radios have. My radio is stil programmed with the former entities freqs and personalities. My question is, how can I veiw the features in my radio? I have looked in the menu for the features item in the menu, and it does not appear to be there. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I have ordered a programming cable, just waiting for it to arrive. Is this something that can be turned off with the software? Thanks again!

If its not in the MENU then you will have to add it in via the programming software.

You could run into a problem once your cable comes in. To put the radio into PROGRAMMING MODE hold all 3 buttons on the side. The side buttons and the PTT. Hold all 3 and turn the radio on and the screen should go all pixle like. Then you can try and read it with the software.

If you get an error when you try and read the radio with Programmer. Then your kinda screwed for doing things yourself. You will have to either spend big $$ and buy Hariss RPM to program the radio, or send it to someone who has RPM.

BUT! If your cable to read the radio fine with Programer. Go to the OPTIONS tab in programmer. Scroll down and click PROGRAMMABLE MENUS. Then you can select FEATURES from the drop down menu

Is there a menu called REVISION enabled in the radio currently? If so. Post the info from there, that can tell us if it was programmed with RPM or Programmer

Hi, Muxlow, this is what is under REVISIONS = EEPR SIZ - 2K, RAM SIZ - 128K, FLSH SIZ - 2M, RF BAND - 800 MHZ, PERS VER - 34.00, DSP VER - G4R01D01, FLSH VER - J2R01B02..... That should be all that you need.....Thanks!

Wow, a first-revision model. Don't think i've ever seen one of those. Good news is, Programmer should read it just fine. Just a wild guess from the DSP version that it is not a digital model. It can be enabled by buying the feature from Harris (and upgrading the DSP and Flash).
