If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

We have a Harris xg75/7300 mobile radio with a remote head ch 721. We want to send audio to the firecom intercom using the 25pin connector. The radio does not provide us with any audio out from the 25pin on the remote head. The pin out we are using has audio coming from pins 18 and 19.

We have been successful with getting audio from the 44 pin on the radio but not luck from the remote head.

Help.....

The correct way to do the interface is through the accessory cable connector (44 pin) for both flat receive audio, external mic and external PTT. Do you have the pinout or do you need it?

The radio is located further from the intercom than the remote head. When we made the interface cable it was much easier and shorter to go to the remote head.

We have made it work using the 44 pin, just wondering if we could use a shorter set up.

Thanks, I very much appreciate your help.
