Default Hawaii Gov Wants $21M

The Governor of Hawaii is proposing to spend $21 million to increase preparedness. A new 130 foot radio tower on the Big Island to link to the other islands, plus 24/7 staffing for the State EOC, are both proposed. Peter S

Sounds like money that will be well spent. I wonder if an island-wide trunked radio system will come out of this in the future?

Why do they need a 130 ft tower? Isn't Mauna Kea high enough?
