Monitor MAUI radio traffic?

Is anyone successfully monitoring radio traffic in MAUI? I've loaded in the LTR system, the "new" P25 system, and the UHF P25 Public safety channels into my WS1088 but not getting anything.

New Maui system isn't LTR, it's P25 Phase II. They could be encrypted?? I'm off island so can't help much. Last I heard them was monitoring the LTR channels in conventional mode.

Yes, I think I'm just learning P25. With just the control channels, nothing was coming through. Needed all the frequencies programmed. Also, had to add wildcard monitoring not just for talkgroups but for Radio IDs as well. Perhaps that's just Whistler specific....

Sorry I'm all Uniden radios these days. I just have to update the DB in my scanner every so often and I'm set. In fact I'll have to bring my BCD436HP with me in April when I go back because my scanner there is only Phase 1.

Not Encrypted so you should be able to hear them. I was able to receive the old LTR channels very well from the Big Island with a back of set antenna so I would assume the same with the new TRS. I also used to get the as very strong signal on the control channel for the new TRS before they migrated to it.

I am able to pick up the East Maui and "Site-004" sites on my Pro-668 from the Hamakua area on the Big Island. The East Maui site comes in pretty strong, but not a ton of traffic. The "Site-004" site (not sure where that is located) comes in ok, but not great. I have the Pro-668 hooked up to a poor outdoor antenna currently which is fine for my local needs. I've been thinking of getting a better directional antenna and pointing it towards Maui.

I am able to pickup Maui P25 Phase II system from The Big Island of Hawaii tonight. From Waikoloa I can pickup two sites. Was able to pickup Waimea Site 17 and Maui site 14 this evening with no issues. Also, I am able to pickup the Lanai Site 12 too with semi good. Receive comes in nice and clear. I am receiving on the Uniden BCD996P2 with a radio shack 800mhz rubber duck antenna. These antenna's tend to pickup 700/800 mhz nice and sweet

I was able to monitor these talkgroups that I will submit to the DB. These are my findings so far with good accuracy

5500 - Maui Fire Dispatch Paging
5510 - Maui Fire Dispatch
5110 - Maui PD
5120 - Maui PD
5130 - Maui PD - Lahaina
5150 - Maui PD - Kihei

Some mobile radios are tranmitting in secure encrypted mode. Not all though. All Dispatch talkgroups are in the clear

Does anyone have updated talkgroup and trunking info for Maui County P25 Phase II Public Safety Radio System? Updated talkgroup info here is incomplete as Maui PD has 6 districts with talkgroups assigned to each district, as well as Maui Fire, Maui Ocean Safety, and Medics. Thanks.
