Question Honolulu PD Dispatch Scannable?

Are the Honolulu Police DISPATCH talkgroups in EDACS analog or digital? I know some system TG are digital and some are analog but the database doesn't specify for the patrol dispatch TGs. More specifically, is it worth programming my BC396T for my trip to hear police operations in Honoloulu or will I only get fire dispatch, EMS, and ocean safety which I believe are still analog. It's my understanding that digital comms are Aegis or Pro-voice and unmonitorable even with digital capable scanners, similar to the State of Florida Pro-Voice system. Thanks in advance.

Scanner-geek

P.S. I'm sure this has been covered before but I searched the forum and found nothing. I can't travel without my scanner. I won't know what to do with myself.

Check out this website:

This should give you just about everything you need for finding out what talkgroups are digital or analog. You will pretty much be receiving fire, ocean safety, and the bus system. All is not lost. You can listen to the military digital stuff on UHF Motorla Astro digital.

If you could, scan the 380-390mhz FM range with control channel set to 'on' and let us know if you find anything. If so, please make note of the SIDs and frequencies. I'm wondering if any of the bases out there have started to migrate to the new systems.

What scanner are you referring to that has this control channel search feature? 996?
