Default HAWAII RADIO SHACK Pro 94 scanner help

ALoha

Ive got a RS Pro 94 trunking scanner and would like to scan the Honolulu EDACS system as well as the PACMERS system used by the military especillay Pearl Base police. ANyone got any tips on programming and is the PACMERS system scannable? ALso anybody know the Outrigger Hotel security freq?

You will not be able to scan either system. The Honolulu system is Provoice no scanner will scan it. The Pacmers systems is P25 digital, the Pro94 will not do P25.

The Honolulu system is not totally Provoice. You can still listen to EMS, civil defense, ocean safety, OTS, Fire dispatch and some tac talk groups, interop talk groups, and some HPD talk groups.

Will the Uniden Digital pick up the PACMERS system--Im intersted in hearing Fed Fire and the various base police (Schofield, Hickam, Pearl MCBH)

The Uniden digital will work. There are some talk groups that are encrypted though.

Hope fully the last word--when programming the system is it Motorola UHF or P25? Ive been trying the last couple of hours and can hear nothing although Im convinced its programmed right... Thanks for your help

Should be Motorola UHF.
