Cool! I just finished reading your reply and tuned to 6739 khz, and I just heard one, Foxtrot, Tango, Uniform etc. Who and where are these messages directed to? I am listening off the whip and she came in really clear, I am just getting into the shortwave thing, but I find it really interesting, I have a eton S350DL I bought on clearance from National Geographic on closeout for 39.95, it's a good bedside radio, I also have a Sony SW7600GR, a surprisingly good little radio, and a Satellit 800 I also got from National Geographic on closeout for 179.99, I love that one, my wife says I am banned from purchasing anymore radios for a while, but that Icom R75 looks awful nice...

Hello Dave, Sorry I haven't been on here for a week to see your earlier replies. The IC-R75 is a fantastic receiver. I've owned 2 of those; I almost bought a 3rd today. But instead opted for a Yaesu FRG-100, which I've also owned twice before. You can clearly see what my 2 favorite receivers are. But I give the FRG-100 a slight edge.

Anyway, I'd better not muck up this thread anymore with banter about receivers.
