Neat antenna idea
Here's a link to an antenna site. This looks like it could be adapted quite easily for various bands.
I saw a homebuilt one made with wood that was said to work very well in limited space..

Looks (to me) like two round BBQ grill covers attached to PVC pipe with feed lines attached to the grills.
So go to some yard sales and pickup some old grills and get some pvc pipe of big dowl rods and your about done.
