Default Downloading AM Station List ?

I am looking for a site where I can download the AM stations in North America.

I have found like the FCC site .. but I am looking for this info so I can import it into a database and use it on my pc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Some thing like this?

Spreadsheet Information

Scroll down.

I use the FM station database quite a bit. Enter in your latitude and longitude and it calculates the distance from your home to each station!

However, I opened the AM database and there's no callsigns listed!

Hmmmm ....

Actually I suspect the best place to find such a beast would be on the IRCA or NRC forums. It's also possible there's something on their website that you can download, perhaps for a nominal fee. I see that the IRCA has their own mailing list, and the NRC has the 'e-DXN' forums. If something like a downloadable list can be found, no doubt someone on either site would know about it.

Default Download Location ..

Actually I found that it can be found here:

AM Query -- AM Radio Technical Information -- Audio Division (FCC) USA

Just be sure to pick the: AM Query - Text and Pipe-Delimited Output
so you can use it in Excel etc.

I imported it into Access and calculated the distances from my location to all the stations. Now all i need is to hook up an antenna to my radio.

Thanks

A good find, but how accurate would it be? I'm not into BCB DX so I can't be sure, but if it's anything like the freq lists the FCC maintains for scanner freqs, there's liable to be a lot of old and outdated stuff on there. Still, better than nothing 73 Mike
