Default Problem with a Tecsun BCL-2000

I have had a Tecsun BCL-2000 for 5 years and have been generally satisfied. But a problem has been getting pretty bad. It seems minor and thus easy to repair, but I'm not sure.

The dial that switches bands (MW-SW1-SW2-SW3) has been acting up. It has gotten to the point where it is getting harder and harder to switch accurately. I have to fiddle with it to get it set correctly, and SW3 nearly never works.

Is this something that can be fixed easily? Or does it require specialized knowledge? There are tons of electronics shops where I am (NE Thailand), but nobody buys shortwave radios here.

Open your radio up and look at this photo from the back:

While turning that switch spray either electronics cleaner or trichlorotriflourethane in the center of that switch to clean it and allow it to evaporate for about 20 minutes and you should be good to go. Don't forget to place a towel under it to collect run off and definetly don't smoke while doing this.
