Default Grundig g3
Despite the reviews, I'm still thinking about getting one. I know a few people on this board have one, and I'm curious how well it responds to an external antenna, be it a longwire or amplified antenna. I'm especially curious if it helps the sync detector work better, or if it just kills it. I would think that the extra signal would help, it definitely couldn't hurt.

One of the guys on my G3 yahoo group said the sync "perked up" when he connected an external antenna. I haven't experienced that myself.

I joined your group and read through the postings. I think I'm going to wait for a while, unless Eton cancels the set. Rat Shack will have them on sale at some point.
