My biggest catch over the past few days was Radio Rebelde on 1180 khz, underneath KOFI, Kalispell, Montana -- I could even hear it barefoot on the DX-350A a couple nights ago (0819z, 11/28) during strong fade ups, and last night (0917z, 12/1) it was barefoot on my TRF -- I didn't use the loop. Distance is somewhere around 2700 miles.
Programming was // to 5025 khz. Last night at one point it was louder on the MW than it was on 5025 khz, although it never overpowered KOFI, which is around 300 miles away.
It's my longest catch over the past year.

A few unknowns
Radio Reloj over WWL, WPNN 790 and over XL 1010 - can easily hear the RR CW ID "Sports radio ??XL" could never make out ID.
Heard Jacksonville vs Middleburgh High School football game booming in like it was local out here. I assume Jacksonville, FL
Other unknowns - radio estereo (sp?) 640
1.500 music and news about the Atlantic Ocean being unseasonable warm.. (spanish music, no legal ID..)
540 WFLA, Houston TX (Can't ID) and Mexico rolled into one.
Please note, I can hear 570 Reloj during the day!!

Radio Rebelde, 1180 khz, is making it into the NW US, underneath KOFI, Kalispell MT. Even coming in barefoot on one of my portables. I also heard it earlier tonight around 0640z, just barely making it through underneath KBOI-670, // 5025 khz.

1710 KHz "The Big Q" 0526 UTC December 23rd. Couple of vids. Fairly strong and several reported hearing this station on Perseus servers as far south as FL and the eastern sea board. Strong in the midwest.
Shout-out to a loyal listener ;-)

Longer vid featuring oldies & Christmas music mix with shout-outs and station jingles. Couple of commercials mixed in also.

Sunset skip log and one that I've been after for a long time:
1180 KOFI Kalispell, MT. @ 0006 UTC with oldies and at least one clear call letter ID. This was mixing with WJNT from Mississippi. I had super-pest WHAM phased down to nothing. KOFI was still on day pattern (switch time 0015 UTC for this month).

For you late night owls. The Big Q is broadcasting right now. Strange for an early Monday morning.

Their website is still up KVNS-AM -
Fun thing, I've never noticed that station and I live well within its target area......I guess I find BBC from Ascension Island much sexier.

It's one of merely two AM stations down here that broadcast in English.

I have to say one of my favorite, though not my best, would be picking up WABC 770 from where ever I am. my furthest I can remember off hand would be in south Florida a few years ago coming in loud and clear with my simple Grundig portable I bring with me where ever I go
I'm not going to say where I live, however, I am born and raised being line of sight from the 50,000 watt blow torch. I find it interesting where ever I am, near or far, that I can pick this station up, when it is a landmark which I see every day and night.

A few years ago, I visited my sister in Kentucky, near Bowling Green and I gotta say, I got the biggest kick out of hearing 650 WSM on the car radio in the middle of the day! After XX years of only hearing them at night up here in Wisconsin, that was a hoot! :^)

New one this morning: 750 WPDX Clarksburg, WV. (1 KW daytimer) caught just before WNDZ signed on, weak with classic c/w music. No sign of WSB. New sunrise log here at 1154 UTC, 405 miles.

Barely had a chance to read the whole thread...Mew member here. I recently heard KAAY 1090 Little Rock, AR and one of the 2 Radio Disney 990s in FL. No chance to ID it, but I think it is more likely to be WDYZ Orlando than WMYM Miami; it was a very weak signal heard at night here in VA.

KOFI...Cooooool...That's a good catch! Back in the 70's,when I did a lot of BCB DX, that was my only Montana log. I tried for months but couldn't get. Then one Monday morning about 3am local time it came through while they were testing. Back then Monday mornings were transmitter testing days(once every two or three months or so). I never knew if they did a non-directional test or not that morning but it was coming in over WHAM. Is Monday morning still test a testing day for AM transmitters?

A new one heard this morning at sunrise: 740 KVOR Colorado Springs (3.3/1.5 kw) at 1100z with ABC News and into several nice IDs, weak but clear copy for about 10 minutes until fade-out, 1003 miles. 740 #14.

Thanks Jim, I was happy to finally cross KOFI off my list. As far as I know, the days of Monday morning transmitter testing are long gone. DX tests are still held occasionally though but even those are becoming rare events now.
