November 2017 DX report:

November was a good month that kicked off with China being heard for the first time on medium wave. Station #2,100 was logged with the totals currently standing at 2,109 stations logged since 2009 (I don't count call letter changes). November had a little aurora that brought in a slew of new Southern stations and November also had a few good nights of Trans-Atlantic reception that included time pips on 1080 on the 27th @ 03:00 UTC matching those of Spain.

Nice job on China,Kilokat.

The closest thing to China I heard this Fall was the 1200KW outlet out of South Korea on 972 kHz, just the het with a slight second or two of audio, on my Realistic TRF and GESR3.

The het itself appeared on my Sangean PR-D6, a non-TRF radio, which was cool.

It's always fun to hear a signal cropping up from across the ocean. :)

Thanks, Boombox. Anything from east Asia is just about impossible here on medium wave due to my bearing through the auroral donut, so I'm especially happy with this unusual reception.

Agreed, nothing better than an overseas reception on MW to get the DX adrenaline flowing!

Amazing log on 1521 CRI !
Especially with relatively nearby 50 kw WWKB only a kc away.
Was that a greyline path?

Thanks, WA8ZTZ. The China reception was via greyline and over the pole, which is quite rare here..
