I was able to recently pick up two digital ready F1721D's and have a question about the radio and programmable options.

On the F5061 I read that you can have a button set-up on the front panel that if you push it and have a DTMF mic you can directly enter Channel numbers, tone codes, ID's, etc.

Is this true of the F1721D's? I had to go with the 1721's and not the 1821's due to needing a speaker on the front of the radio.

Any help would be great!

Are you talking about Front-Panel Programmability? If so you will need to either modify the Cloning Software or have a dealer activate it for you...

I think he establish the FPP Part, but the question is for both Him and I is can you change setting via the dtmf mic, and if so what options can you change. Sorry, don't have a model in front of me to play with. As far as I know FPP is limited function things.
