I haven't seen it as a download. I bought my copy off of the internet (ebay?), but it was a CD. Did you get the two F30GS's off of ebay?

I bought one off of ebay already and the shipper delivered it 30 min after I left for work today according to the tracking info. One of the guys who works with me is a hunter and he was looking for two VHF radios for MURS. Thats why I was bidding on them. Yeah, my software was in an Icom box and sealed, so it might have come from actoncommunications.com along with the programming cable. I order stuff regularly from them. I can't remember now. If the one I have now works, I am set anyway. It's for public safety and amatuer radio. The 16 channels in the HT750 is not enough for me to get all the freqs I need. The 128 or 256 in the F30GS should do it.

Good Luck on your F30's,

Bob

if he's looking for M.U.R.S. some of the icom F14's would suit him good. maybe even some of the older F3's. for M.U.R.S. he could get just an 8 channel radio. thats one of the reasons i wanted these radios as well. i missed a good radio a member had on here a week or two ago. it was the F30GT with a load of extras for $270. being a fire fighter i needed more than the 16 ch's as well. we have a new system that is, for some strange reason, 18 ch's if i add in the mutual aid ones.

Please keep this topic legal. No links to illegal software and no offering to sell a copy of yours. Thanks.

I reviewed the above posts and don't see anything as such. But let's just footnote our Icom software sources to settle everyones stomach.

1. Universal radio - CS-V82
2. ActionCommunications - CS-F30G, CS-F33G

I admit to knowingly buying illegal copies of programming cables on ebay. My meds must have run out that week and I am truly sorry.

Bob,

What you don't see is the two deleted posts offering a link to a warez site and an offer by another user to copy his for a "small donation." Interestingly enough another user (first and only post thus far) decided to re-post the link with a different topic. See this thread.

Honest guys, the moderators here do know what they are doing.

HEY! No problem. Just buy the CD.

Call a dealer for your software. I have used Action Communications & EPCOM for ICOM stuff. I think they are both very friendly.

MyLT1, did you get your F30GS running? I had noticed that the F30GS/GT radios will default to low power when using the alkaline battery case. I was going to bypass the little pogo pin that makes contact with the table in the rechargeable pack, then I noticed that the L1 and L2 power levels were adjustable in the adjustment software. Shazam!! Set both levels for 1.5 watts and I am much happier.

they work great. one had its antenna ripped out some how but i ordered another for 11 bucks from icom. not only do they work great, they also had the voice scrambler module installed. so i can have secure coms on the murs feq's. not only can you program the power in the software but you can program one of the buttons to do it as well. thing does 2 tone paging as well, which is what our 911 system uses. i ordered 2 new antennas, one alkaline batt pack with clip, and i already had a charger and hi capacity batt. gonna order 2 more new batts and a rapid charger and im set. my vertex should be here tomorrow but unless that really lights my fire im probably gonna sell that.

Not sure if you got my message...some radio dealers will give you a copy...if you let them know that you are a first responder and work with a group in your area...I just received a legal copy...at no cost.
