Default F70 Transmit Problem

For what ever reason my F70 is having a problem transmitting on duplex channels but on channels that are in simplex, it works just fine. Any idea what it could be that's causing this?

What is the exact problems? Are you trying to go thru a repeater or radio to radio? Are you sure you have the correct frequencys and pl/dpl?

When I go to transmit on channel 1 which goes through a repeater, nothing goes out. Channel 2 which is a point to point channel using the repeater"s out put works just fine. I have 3 radios that are programmed the exact same way, frequencies and PL tones and they don't have any issues.

So take a scanner or reprogram one of the radios to the channel 1 in tx frequency w/pl and see if you can hear the other radio.

Also recheck the program and make sure that you have not checked the tx inb option as that turns off transmit on that channel.

If, by using a scanner or doing the reprogram on another radio, you are able to hear the test radio tx, then you need to verfy that you have the correct pl for the repeater.

Thanks for the help, I now see that there is a transmitting problem. when the radio is more than 2 or 3 feet away from another radio, it won't reach. I guess it has to get sent in to ICOM.
