Default PCR2500 Demodulated FM Taps?

Hello,
I'm part of a research group at a college in MA. We are looking for a dual-receiver radio, and stumbled upon the PCR2500, but I have a few questions before we purchase one.

Our research group is studying ultrasonic bat vocalizations. We build transmitters that are actually placed on bats that retransmit their echolocation signals and we need a receiver with very wide FM capability. I have seen posts/internet pages for the PCR1000 saying that reception of signals 80-100KHz wide with no attenuation are definitely achievable with the FM demodulator modification.

So my questions are:
1.) Has anyone actually modified their PCR2500 to receive very WFM signals? ie. greater than 80KHz without much attenuation. If so, is there a webpage or post somewhere that describes the process? I haven't found one yet.

2.) Can the main and sub-receiver FM section be tapped independently? We need 2 channels of WFM.

3.) If this won't work out for us, any suggestions as to a suitable receiver system?

Thanks,
-Matt
