It ought to work quite well. There will be lots to explore, but one thing I highly recommend is getting a basic understanding about how propagation works on HF. Unlike scanning, signals are not always available 24 hours a day in the same region of the spectrum. The AE4RV site is a good place to start. The link for that, among several others can be found in our HF Propagation wiki (anything in blue is a link)

Thanks Mike to be honest i use to listen to hf a lot but then i just lost intrest and i want to get back into listenning hf aircraft and i am also going to get the wellbrook multicoupler later to match the antenna,i do have other radios but i think its a waste that i only use them for vhf/uhf.

Regards Lino.
