R-2 programming

I recently purchased a program to reprogram my R-2. It loaded the frequencies fine, but after loading them the scanner does not scan. It just sits on channel 1. I can only advance it by turning the tuning knob.

Does anyone have any info on how to get the program to scan?

It was a programming program that was recommended on this thread. There is no brand name on it. Just for Icom R-2.
It loaded all of my frequencies but won't scan

If you push "scan", what happens? I'm assuming the squelch is closed (no noise), and you don't have the freqs set to be "skipped"..

It is set to scan but isn't. The frequencies are not marked to skip.
The material with the program has phone numbers but by the time I get home from work
or the weekends no one is there to answer the phones.
I tried emailing but no response.
I purchased the program based on some endorsements on this thread, so I assume there is something

That's why you need to let the people who want to help, know what software you are using to program the R-2. I'm going to guess that it is RT systems software.
Otherwise, empty answers.

Are you enabling a scan list or bank?

Did you get a USB cable with the software? Did all of the drivers load up?
Have you checked under Properties to see if the computer is seeing the R2?
When I had a R2 ages ago, I used the Commander software to program the radio.

I used the cables that came with it. And the scan is enabled. No frequencies are blocked it is in the scan mode.

Some Icom receivers have menus that require you to select a scan type. Such as memory scan, bank scan, bank link. I am not familiar with the R2. I have an R20 that has this in the menus.
